About SigNATURE Suds...
Growing up on 10 acres in rural North Carolina, I was the quiet middle child of no-nonsense, down-to-earth and hard-working German immigrants. I enjoyed hours of outdoor play in the shade of huge China Berry trees, making pretend "tea" from their leaves and berries. My family grew many types of fruit trees and cultivated a huge vegetable garden, so we naturally thrived on copious amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables. Mom spent long hot summer days canning and freezing enough vegetables to get us through most of the year, and we often raised our own meat as well. Eating out at a restaurant was an extremely rare occasion. As an adult, I remained appreciative of garden-fresh vegetables and wholesome foods, but I drifted more and more towards the standard American diet, including diet soda, fast food and pizza, and too many highly convenient, processed foods.
In 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. That kind of news makes one pause to reflect upon one's choices in life. It reminded me not only to be grateful for each and every day, but also to examine my lifestyle. I began improving my health through eating nutrient dense foods, eliminating toxic chemicals, and reducing stress. Thus began my search for knowledge and truth. Many wonderful, knowledgeable, and enlightened angels have helped me tremendously along my path to wellness. I cannot say enough good things about Niti Bali, of Farm To Fork Meat CSA. She is absolutely amazing and inspiring and such a wealth of nutritional information. I learned that most of the mainstream (processed) foods, cleaning products, and bath and beauty products that most of us use contain multiple toxic and hormone-disrupting chemicals. We immediately threw out all of our store-bought cleaning products and started making our own. For years now, I have been tweaking recipes for all natural cleaning and body care products.. With the encouragement of family and friends, I decided to offer these select products to the public.
I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!
